Funeral Butterflies is a family business that has been farming Monarch Butterflies for more than 15 years. We became involved with Monarch Butterflies over 20 years ago when we thought that it would be nice to create a “butterfly garden”. As time passed Monarch Butterflies became our passion and then our enterprise. Our beautiful and healthy Monarch butterflies have been released by thousands of people at Memorials, Funerals and Special Events.
Our Butterfly Farm runs on solar power and is located near West Palm Beach Florida. Here, the tropical sunshine enables us to grow milkweed and raise beautiful Monarch Butterflies year-round.
We are proud members of the International Butterfly Breeders Association and the Association for Butterflies. The IBBA is an international, nonprofit trade association, promoting high standards of ethics, competence and professionalism in the breeding of quality Lepidoptera (butterflies) for all purposes. They accomplish this by supporting research, grower education, market development and habitat conservation and restoration. Through the IBBA, we have had the opportunity to meet, learn from, and listen to many expert Lepidopterists (butterfly experts) and Entomologists.
We have USDA permits to ship our Monarch Butterflies to most state East of the Rocky Mountains. Our butterflies are hand raised and examined for disease prior to shipping. We want our customers to release healthy and happy butterflies while protecting our environment!
